Behind every stay is a host, a real person who can give you the details you need to check in and feel at home. They can interact with guests in different ways, depending on the type of place they booked.

Almost anyone can be a host. It’s free to sign up and list both stays. Whether they’re hosting a place to stay, all hosts are expected to meet our quality standards every time.

We have a verification process in place where we ask that hosts verify their email addresses and phone numbers.

We review every profile in detail before allowing the listing to appear on the website.

Our hosts’ public profile will show their first name and won’t give the specific location of their home. It will only show the general area in which their home is located. Guests will only receive their host’s full name, address and contact details after they have made a confirmed booking

  • Be precise and detailed. Appraisals of a property should focus on the experience of the vacationer who rented it. Reviews generally focus on the stay, but may also cover other topics related to the rental process, such as inquiries or reservations.
  • Protect your privacy and the privacy of others. Do not mention last names, home or e-mail addresses, or phone numbers of the property owner or manager. We also recommend that you do not disclose your contact information. If your appraisal contains private information, it will be rejected.
  • Do not disclose the rates applied. All members have the opportunity to modify or negotiate the accepted rate for a property. If your appraisal contains rates, it will be rejected.
  • Be respectful. Do not make discriminatory, inflammatory, offensive or insulting comments. Do not post comments or responses that may constitute an attempt to blackmail or extort a landlord or vacationer. Assessments are intended to serve as a reference for future vacationers; they must not in any way allow one party to threaten the other.

The price you charge for your listing is completely up to you. To help you decide, you can search for comparable listings in your city or neighborhood to get an idea of market prices.

You are paid via our secure payment platform, which allows you to take advantage of Visa, Mastercard and American Express processing.

Your payments will generally be made one business day after the arrival of the holidaymaker. Depending on your bank’s policies, the money should be available in your bank account five to seven business days later. If you are a new owner and your first reservation was made less than 30 days ago, the payment will be deposited into your bank account 30 days after the client’s payment.

You can check your account to see when a payment is due. To find out when a payment is due, see the Payments section of the reservation. You can also view your payment summary report to get an overview of the funds you have received after deducting commissions and fees withheld from rentals.

  1. Log in to your holiday account.
  2. Click on My Stays.
  3. Select the reservation you wish to cancel.
  4. Under the Details tab, click on Manage your booking.
  5. Check the owner’s cancellation policy.
  6. Click Cancel Reservation.

How do I send a cancellation request?

If, following the previous steps, the option Send a cancellation request is displayed, it means that the cancellation will have to be made by the owner or property manager, once your request has been sent. If you do not receive any news within 24 hours of your initial request or if you do not see an option to cancel your reservation or request a cancellation, please contact the owner or property manager directly.

Refunds, how does it work?

Refund is based on the cancellation policy of the property. If you cancel your reservation and are within the full refund period, the service charge will be refunded automatically when the cancellation is confirmed.

If a reservation has been charged in a different currency, payment and refund totals may vary depending on the bank’s exchange rates and fees. Your refund will be paid to the original means of payment. If this account is closed, please contact your financial institution.
